Remember how web browsers turned the computing world upside down and transformed information organization? 

Now, with OpenAI's ChatGPT, powered by GPT-4, we're witnessing an entrepreneurial explosion that makes the dotcom boom look like a leisurely stroll. Language models can even lend a hand with coding by providing program building blocks.

Picture a world where code is whipped up on-the-fly. Microsoft's CTO says this is “a fundamental shift” in computing and business models. Mind blown, right?

But wait, there's a twist. Language models can generate some seriously harmful "hallucinations," like deep fakes and manipulated videos. Public discourse, we've got a problem on our hands!

Think about how the printing press changed everything, giving scholars the keys to a vast kingdom of knowledge. But it also let authors express themselves in ways no one had ever dreamed of. Language models could crank this up a notch, turning books into interactive playgrounds where chatbots respond to questions based on the text.
